French president François Hollande has declared November 13th coordinated terrorist attacks in Paris, in which at least 127 people were killed and upwards of 180 people injured, an “act of war” carried out by the Islamic State. The attacks were orchestrated by 8 different assailants attacking 6 different venues: bars and restaurants, a football stadium, and the Bataclan concert hall where the most deaths were inflicted. President Hollande has closed France’s borders and declared a state of emergency, while vowing to respond “mercilessly” to the indiscriminate attacks.
