French president François Hollande is lobbying for the formation of a “Eurozone government” in order to achieve a higher level of integration among its member states (19 July). President Hollande, in a letter published by the Journal du Dimanche in which he pays homage to ex-President of the European Commission Jacques Delors, explained that the creation of a new government would serve to renew the citizens’ faith in the European project, which has been so profoundly weakened in recent months due to the Greek crisis.
