We counted four women out of a total of about 70 persons in this “family photo”. These are the participants in the informal meeting of the EU Ministers for Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN) in Riga, Latvia, on 24-25 April 2015. In addition to the scarce number of women, you may also want to look for Messrs Schäuble, Dijsselbloem and Varoufakis (hint: the first two are sitting close to each other, while the third one is standing far apart).
The Eurogroup session on 24 April discussed, among other items on its agenda, the case of Greece again, but there was still no progress made; see remarks by Mr. Dijsselbloem after the meeting. The ball is in the court of the next Eurogroup meeting expected to take place on 11 May 2015.
