There’s the sound of laughter and claps in Brussels, some comedy, some circus, night cabaret and lots of humour; it is the new Festival Kermezzo(o)!
Steeped in the vintage spirit of the old-fashioned tent circus, Kermezzo(o) is a festival aiming to bring back memories from the 50’s while gathering together all kinds of comedy shows in a relaxed and informal way. Lots of music, acrobats, clowns, comedians, dancers, marionettes, singers, all there together just to offer a good time to all sort of audience: young ones but also those not that young; the only requirement is looking to have fun, lots of fun!
Kermezzo(o) started just a week ago, on April 11, and will last till May 2, at the Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels. It is open every day with a large selection on offer, so you can’t get bored. During the weekends, after 11 pm the main stage, “Aurora”, is open as a nightclub featuring different DJs from the Belgian scene. There’s also an outdoor “silent disco”, where you can enjoy the music played on 4 different channels, of course using your assigned headphones, something you cannot miss!
Between the shows, there are free spectacles all around the venue and a wide offer of all kinds of food and drinks, all sharing that vintage spirit of “oldies but goodies”.
